Built on Base44

Every website WEBSOS designs and delivers is built on and hosted through the Base44 platform. To keep your site live and fully supported, you agree to continue using your website through Base44 for the lifetime of the site.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the WEBSOS website and the website design, redesign and related services ("Services") we provide to sole traders, entrepreneurs and small businesses based in the United Kingdom.

By requesting a £1 draft, submitting a project brief, or paying any deposit or balance, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not proceed with a project.

2. How WEBSOS builds your website (the Base44 platform)

All websites designed, built and delivered by WEBSOS are created on and hosted through the Base44 platform — a backend-as-a-service that powers the database, authentication, hosting and core functionality of your site.

Because your website is built on Base44, it is not a standalone set of files that can be exported and hosted elsewhere. The website, its content management system and its backend functionality are designed to run on the Base44 infrastructure.

To keep your website live, functioning and supported, you agree to continue using and hosting your website through the Base44 platform for the lifetime of the site. WEBSOS does not provide a self-hosted, exportable or alternative-hosting version of your website.

3. Future customers & ongoing use

Future customers — including any party who later takes ownership or management of a website built by WEBSOS — must continue to operate the website through the Base44 platform. Transferring the site to a different hosting provider or rebuilding it outside of Base44 is not supported and may void any ongoing support.

If you wish to move away from Base44 in the future, you may request a copy of your content (text, images and data you have supplied), but the underlying application, design framework and backend cannot be transferred or re-hosted on another platform.

4. Payments, deposits & balances

A £1 draft deposit is taken at the point of project submission. This deposit is fully refundable if you do not approve the draft and choose not to proceed — it acts as a card check and a commitment to review the draft.

The remaining balance for your chosen package (Starter, Professional, Premium or Redesign) and any selected add-ons becomes due only once you have reviewed and approved your draft. Payment is processed securely via Stripe.

All add-ons selected during the brief (for example, new logo, pictures, video, price list, or social page creation/redesign) are charged at the rates shown at the time of selection and are added to the final balance.

5. Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate business information, contact details, brand assets and any other content reasonably required to build your site. Delays in supplying these may extend the draft timeline.

You confirm that you own, or have permission to use, all logos, images, videos, text and other assets you share with us, and that the content does not infringe any third-party rights.

You are responsible for keeping your login and account details secure and for all activity that takes place under your account.

6. Drafts, revisions & delivery

Your first draft is delivered within 7 days of your £1 deposit and completed brief, subject to you supplying the requested information promptly.

The number of revision rounds depends on your chosen package. Additional revisions beyond what is included may be quoted separately.

Delivery is considered complete once the final balance has been paid and the website is published live through the Base44 platform.

7. Communication

WEBSOS communicates with clients exclusively by email and WhatsApp message. We do not make outbound phone calls, so you can reply in your own time.

Project updates, draft notifications and payment receipts are sent to the email address you provide in your brief.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page, and the "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision.

Continuing to use WEBSOS services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
